How very sad & frightening at same time. Very reassuring that the co-pilot was able to divert & land safely; must have been a stressful experience for him.

Very sad. Not sure if it scares me - after all, there's a reason there are two people on the flight deck, but I can imagine that it was quite traumatic for all of the crew and passengers.

Condolences to the family, and well done to the CoPilot in what must have been a stressful situation

In an emergency situation, and assuming an airport is close by, how quickly can a plane land from lets, say 30K feet.
