Both of these are closer than California - Aguascalientes is the closest so far, but not right. The region, which takes the name of our city, produces more wine than either of these, although you won't see its name on any labels - there are two named producing areas that are in our city's region. (Hope that makes sense!)
Think you got it although the city/town is probably Casablanca.
It's not Casablanca, but it is Valparaiso. (Thought I would go for the Chilean hat-trick). Over to violist.
Yay, my turn. This place has something in common with
the last couple posers but is not in Chile and seldom chilly.
Two odd things to be found in this town:
A quick google search suggest Bluffton, Indiana although it gets pretty chilly there at times.
Ha ha, that and some place in the Carolinas ...
all in the right country, which, judging from
events of the past six months, seems to have
a very quirky sense of humor. But farther
off west someplace. Tomorrow's post, unless
someone guesses right, will show another
piece of art resident here.
Random guess - Taos?
Not Taos, Less likely to freeze here, about equally likely
to die of thirst or in an Indian-Spanish conflict (back then).
In California, quite a bit drier than Occidental.
Here's the best-known piece of art housed here:
The mailbox is on Air Mail Lane and the mural of Charles Linbergh is now on a building on 9th Street - both in Ramona. (Setting myself up to be shot down here!)
Flying high! Ramona is the place. A week ago I was there
taking advantage of the abundance of desert flowers and
Here's the next one. It was taken in 2006 (clue) and is not in Chile.
A little less lighthearted than usual, eh. Jogjakarta?
Not Jogja. The devastation is man made.
I was afraid you were going to say that. Beirut?
Not Beirut. The destruction isn't a result of war or terrorism.
We're not in the Middle East. Geographically, Jogja is the closest so far.
ISort of relieved. HK?
It's not either of these but you are getting quite close. Hong Kong is marginally closer. We are looking at a building site (or, rather, a demolition site).
