Need a better quality image so I can photoshop my name and number on it, and print out a copy suitable for lamination.

    Very interesting pictures.

I'm a bit confused, though, over the comments in the pix about the "classy raised lettering". My impression is that it's not classy at all, so I can't tell if the comment was "tongue in cheek" or not.

It looked like the identifying information was a sticker (that's what was blocked out in the picture).

Is it meant to be used as a luggage tag? Or is it the actual member card to be used for FF purposes?

  5. Wow. Don't know about anyone else, but I think the card looks kinda tacky with the way Diamond is written out ...

Thanks and welcome. Metal sounds expensive. Now I really can't wait to get my hot hands on my credential package. I've wanted the DM card with MM status on it since I first saw one in October at the DO.

IMO this looks much better than last year's striped thing with so much white in addition to the ugly blue.

Does anyone have a photo of the charter member version?

I got an old one :-( just at the end of last year, should I expect a new one? The old one says valid until 2/2012.

This card reminds me of the really old, metal store credit cards like the parents used to carry around in the last century.

    Found a photo of one:

I wonder if the TSA will consider it a weapon and confiscate it?

Do you get the new cards with every milestone? For instance I'm Plat but have already qualified for Gold for next year. Should I expect to receive both silver and gold cards in the mail? Last year was my first year earning status.

Nope. Only as you move up a level do you receive new cards; and at the start of the year, you receive the card for that year.

BTW, love your handle, but entering this thread I was nervous about what your avatar might be. [IMG]

I finally got my DM MM packet and I'm disappointed that my card and tags no longer say "charter." I thought that anyone who qualified for 2010 was charter forever, or at least as long as they remained DM.

One could strangle someone with enough of the metal straps, but it sure beats having to remember to ask for the plastic version in a SkyClub before they're gone.

Slightly OT, but the DM/MM packet has five rather than three Job Well Done certs for us to distribute and the new (only FOUR!) Have One on US chits aren't called that anymore and are now larger, printed in color on fancy paper, and are mostly DM blue with the words cheers, here's to you, salud, and a votre sante (DL put the accents on). No German, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Scandinavian, etc. at least in my packet.

The envelope is also DM blue in some sort of plastic (hard to open at first), about eight inches square. The printed propaganda inside is on very nice paper.

Considered a weapon or not, the TSA thieves could vandalize or swipe them anyway. And if the TSA is allowed to organize as a guild, the union will be, amongst other things, a thieves guild that protect its own and makes the crooked racket worse than it already is.

While I am grateful for Delta giving DMs 5 Job Well Done certs this year, they are not worth as much now - only 1500 points instead of having been 2500.

IIRC PM certs were always 1500. I didn't know that DM certs were worth more.

    Does this classify as harmonization?
