Phnom Penh was also previously known as Krong Chaktomuk meaning "City of Four Faces". This name refers to the junction where the Mekong, Bassac, and Tonle Sap rivers cross to form an "X" where the capital is situated.

The architecture in the National Museum is attractive. Too bad I never take my camera when I leave the apartment.

Thank you. It was a difficult city to photograph. The people, the traffic, I just did the easy stuff.

the grailer kwai, please add your photos to this thread. I'm sure they will be interesting

As I stated upthread, I know, there isn't that much of a thread to be upwards of, I rarely take my camera(s) out with me. I'll go through some older stuff and post. I actually find it a shame that, in years past, I didn't take more pics of things, even if they weren't intersting at the time. That so much has changed since my first trip 6 years ago is amazing. I still don't care for Cambodia, even though I currently live there, but I'm here not necessarily completely by choice.

I'll dig up some stuff though. Thanks for starting this thread lili, even if I find the title unpersuasive. :D

I would like to hear a review about an IC PP stay, have previously tried to work it into my schedule on past PB offerings but never made it

it was 8 years when I first visited PP and many things have changed since but they still have a unique and tasty sort of fusion cuisine, local Cambodian with a French influence, can also get a decent bottle of wine

I like Kampot best as a destination there
