The Peruvian government is reportedly planning to establish a new state airline, ‘Aerolineas del Peru’.
According to an article by America Economia the airline would be a low-cost airline, funded with private capital.

Julian Palacin Fernandez, an aviation law consultant who helped the Humala administration prepare a feasibility study, said he looked forward to the state airline.
“We want to see the colors of the flag in the sky again,” Palacin said to America Economia.
Previous rumors of a state own airline generated criticism, with opponents arguing the company would have to be heavily subsidized by the state.
