    Those are not really downsides, as the latter makes total sense (of course one's odds go down the more participants there are in the lottery for a permit, duh !) and the former discussing rise in permit fees is severely needed by the park. I think some people believe that the Feds just dishes out all this money to national parks and it is enough. It isn't, the avg person says they care about the environment but they don't do anything financially to support this view.

    And while we are at it, this brings up another topic, the people who are pro-environment but anti-hunter. Hunters are the ones who pay for the vast majority of the wildlife conservation work done throughout North America. A good article supporting this is here:
