Hi, staying here now attending conference. Fairly impressed so far, lots of pics and info, will post report when back home and not iPad challenged ;)
    V. friendly staff, beautiful public areas, pricey but worth it IMHO

Did they do a refurb? (haven't stayed there in 3 years)

I wouldn't classify it as a luxury property. It's rated as a 4 star. I really liked the service and the ducks in the lobby, though

I'd also classify it as very good and fun four star. The ducks are a unique (well, also at the Peabody in Memphis) feature and the pool is attractive. I liked the on-site restaurants that I've tried.

They have some corner rooms that are better: larger rooms with more windows. I had one on their club floor that had a large desk in the corner window, so that it was a very pleasant place to work. There was also a sitting area, which made it almost seem like a junior suite, much nicer than the standard cookie-cutter room.

I wouldn't classify it as a luxury hotel either. I stayed there 1,5 years ago in a club-room. The club was ok'ish, but I don't think I would have payed the extra to stay at the club-floor another time.

    Xxx.

  5. The ducks are quirky and fun. The Memphis Peabody has variable rooms, it's that old world charm I guess. I do prefer the Orlando one. Look forward to the full report!

  6. Stayed in the Memphis Peabody a decade ago. Didn't know there was one in Orlando. The ducks are funny indeed, especially if you are travelling with kids. But if you have seen them once.....I wonder if there aren't any better options around Orlando.

+1...Also, housekeeping forgot to empty out the leftovers (some half eaten fruits and a cup of something which I didn't open the lid to check) in the fridge when I was there in Aug for a conference.
