Passengers say their problem is not with the rules at the airport. They understand why drinks are not allowed through security, but when they buy one while they wait for their flight, they say the TSA shouldn't ask to test it.

Passengers say traveling is a big enough stress, but now some are worried the drinks they are getting are not safe.
The TSA wouldn't say what they're testing for or why they are doing it, but travelers say they have a right to know.

I think that if the TSA wants to test my Starbucks, they should have to give me a voucher for a new one. Anytime anyone does anything to my beverage, it then becomes undrinkable and has cost me money. Pay Up or P*** O***.

Seems like TSA may have too many people in the airport if they have to search out drinks.
Maybe they need to test the dispensers at the Drink Counters on a regular basis.

Once again, another Security Theater Show. If these "in-frequent" travelers would step back long enough to process the thought of; "wait, I thought everything was screened already?!?", they would stop "feeling" safe.

First it's drinks, then you have a nose-picker wanting to thumb through your Subway BMT.

I wonder how long it will be before we see a TSA appropriation request for heat reisistent gloves because they're burning their fingers on hot coffee?

I stopped after the liquid ban.

Somehow, my beverage can't be screened properly, yet the $5 bottles of water at Hudson News are okay.

Aren't these bottles being screened already in the first place? Of course they aren't. It's just another place where capitalism trumps security. And I won't be a part of that.

Since TSA doesn't check airport employees, including themselves, nor materials coming into airport shops and restaurants, this mechanism might be more likely to be a source of trouble than drinks for babies and individuals with health needs for liquids. Security theater and power games at their best.
