Irish low-cost airline Ryanair's excess luggage fees sparked a mutiny over the weekend on a flight from the Spanish island of Lanzarote.
More than 100 Belgian students were removed from the aircraft after becoming "disruptive" when several passengers were told they would have to pay an extra fee for oversized carry-on luggage, the airline claimed.
The pilot of flight FR8175, which was flying Saturday from Lanzarote Guacimeta Airport to Brussels South Charleroi Airport, radioed for police assistance after the mutiny began.
