Some 6 or 7 years ago, I had a lot of success "parking" soon-to-be-expiring SWUs in randomly created DL itineraries for 300 days out. I shared the strategy on FT.

I haven't done this in a while, and I now have four about to expire. Has anyone parked an SWU in recent days? Any luck?

Not getting any love here I guess. I'll go try it out and see how it goes. Will report back.

I have never tried to do that...
I have fortunately been able to use my SWUs, but I only select my benefit at the last possible moment..

So when you say random itinerary, you mean you book a refundable fare 300 days out, upgrade it with a SWU, and then cancel it?
