This particular Park Hyatt gets a lot of positive reviews with bloggers, MP'ers, FT'ers and on Tripadvisor. For many it's one of the top Hyatt properties in the world which also incl. the Park Hyatt hotels in Tokyo, Washington DC and their Paris property. I guess, it's worth to stay there. Cheers. :)

PH Sydney is very comfortable & unpretentious. Service is always very helpful, top notch, and not intrusive. The building uses high quality materials, yet looks unassuming, and totally blends into the environment. The views from most rooms and the roof-top are pretty awesome. It should appeal more to a low key person than a Maserati enthusiast.

Just like the FS George V in Paris, it's with the Park Hyatt in Sydney, these hotels are seen by many as the best hotels in their respective cities and of course this demands top $$$$. Having said this, all two cities offer however a lot more beyond these two hotels, it depends on taste, the season, location and style, plus the available budget for each individual guest.

I enjoyed it in 2012. A points stay was quite worth it at the time. Would I come out of pocket in cash for it? Not so much ... YMMV

@Gtitan But Sydney does not have many good hotels. I keep hearing that FS Sydney and all the other Virtuosio ones are not any good.

Should I use my points that do not even equal to one night without cash. Or go to another hotel. Or spend 5 days here and use the points for Park Hyatt Tokyo
