I stayed at the hotel for a few days in March and it is right next to the St. Regis on Saadiyat Island. When we arrived our suite wasn't ready yet. The hotels hard product is fantastic, but the soft product is not up to Park Hyatt standard. So we decided to have a quick bite at The Beach house, which turned out to be mistake. The setting is beautiful down at the pool with a view over the ocean, but the service was awful we ordered mock tails and some ice cream and it took over 25 minutes to get these delivered.Other people ordered sandwiches and got them before us.

After Lunch we went back to the front desk and gotten our keys, but no escort to the suite or explanation of the hotel. I had booked one of the lower level suites and was upgraded to a Diplomatic Suite. Probably due the fact that the hotel was 100% Occupancy and it turns out the hotel is very popular with package tourist from Europe. More on that later. The first impression of the suite WOW beautiful, but that quickly changed I went to the restroom only to discover that there was not a single role of toilet paper to be found in the entire suite and then it turns out the floors were sticky. So a call to Housekeeping to get the Suite properly cleaned.

After coming back from Dinner I had a voice mail from the duty manager apologizing for the cleanliness issues. Later that evening when using the internet I discovered the internet was very slow. I was giving the runaround by the support desk and after an hour finally an engineer showed up to reset the router. That didn't work either followed by another round of the incompetent support desk. Now I was fed up!!! At this point I gotten a call from the same duty manager apologizing for the inconvenience and 5 minutes later he showed up with a laptop and he was trying to fix the problem to no success. Since it was 11pm we decided to call it a night and discuss everything in the morning.

I had breakfast a the Cafe the next morning, but only to find out it is seat yourself. It was overrun and the server was nonexistent. On checkout they offered to comp my stay, which I gladly took them up on.

After returning home I had meeting with a customer from Germany, who told he was to the hotel recently as well, but he booked it with flight, accommodation, and half board for $900 per person for a week.

On a positive note, the hotel has the best Diamond Amenity I have ever seen.

Will I be back at the hotel? No, there are way better options in Abu Dhabi. I also stayed at The Ritz Carlton, which just opened a week before my stay and service was better than at the Park that opened two years ago. If you wanna be on the Beach stay at the St. Regis.

All Pictures from my stay can be found here.

I stayed here end of February and found service to be pretty good everywhere except the breakfast restaurant where it was indeed quite lacking. Breakfast itself at the PH Dubai is higher quality as well.

This hotel has one of the best and most gorgeous suites Hyatt offers as a standard Park Suite obtainable via confirmed suite upgrade from a base-level room.
