The Telegraph: Paris most expensive city for a Club Sandwich
Quite pricey for something seemingly simple!
    :)

Anyone who goes to Paris and orders club sandwich deserves to pay through the nose.:)

Sounds like a good way to fleece American tourists that are grasping for familiar.

Yes, yes, and yes. It's almost always cheaper to eat as the locals do and doing this is likely to offer more choices and get you higher quality and fresher food.

Early morning here in Paris before I fly back to YYZ via LHR later today. :) Didn't spend any of my Euros on any club sandwich since arriving here Monday.

Ah any quoting from the Economist gets a like from me.

Also, I don't find Paris to be that much more than any major European city by and large. The Euro has been the problem for me for the last 8 years or so....

Yes, Five Star Hotel sandwiches are always my benchmark of how expensive a city is. Two Star Hotel sandwiches just don't exist in most of the world.

If nothing else, the opportunity cost of dining on a club sandwich in Paris is truly epic.
