PADOVA-Not on Monday

    This is why you don't go to Padova on a Monday morning. Shops and stores are closed until 3PM, and so is almost everything else.

    Much of Italy is like that. Museums closed, restaurants closed...
    If you hit a major holiday weekend you can end up with two or three days in a row with everything closed.

  3. I have a few friends living there, but I only passed through. This is a nice area of Italy around Venice :p
    Italy has a different work ethic than everyone else !

    I was there in Sept 2009 & spent one night there. Ate dinner at a very nice Italian restaurant. Reasonably priced & very good.
