I thought this benefit already existed?
Considerably more limited: Only for immigration lines and only if you arrive by BA, as I understand it.
The change will be good. I tend to use AA when flying via LHR and of course never got invited to any fast-track. Once I did arrive on BA, but maybe the policy was not in effect. I didn't ask, they didn't offer. Looking forward to the change, though.
Would be nice if the elites could be forgiven the luxury tax as well.
This is fast track for security when departing, not arrivals immigration.
OW launched this Fast Track benefit in February of this year but it was only available at specific locations. LHR was not originally offered, so this is an expansion of an existing benefit.
One correction on the article in the OP - looks like Cathay Pacific IS listed as an eligible airline when departing T3 despite what is listed by the author.
Welcome news; I'll be there next month & anything that makes LHR easier is a good thing.
Hopefully they do change those signs at LHR and most importantly inform the minders of these lanes appropriately.
