Have seached but could not find any info or thread. .
Arriving on TG F at 8pm connecting to LH F to YUL at 2pm next day.
Will checked bags be checked thru overnight to YUL or will we need to claim in MUC?
Any issues leaving them checked overnight if that is an option?

I am pretty sure you will have to claim them- the logic being that you have to clear customs in Munich unless you are spending the night in the terminal (not recommended).

Actually can answer my own question(which might help others) as travel now complete.
Bags were checked from CNX right thru to YYZ, no issues in MUC with the overnight connection. Cleared immigration/customs(with EU passport) without the bags.
Only hitch was that we had to re tag the bags in YUL for flight to YYZ even though they wereoriginally tagged by Thai to YYZ. This was a very slow process in YUL and we just made the conneciton. AC said this was necessary since the incoming flight was not AC??.
Good news was that in YYZ the two bags were first off.
