I liked the idea at first, nice to see interest bid down and borrowers getting the best possible deal.

A bit frustrating to get outbid though, if it is only by a tiny percent. (If a significant reduction in interest rates, it's great)

So, to keep it fun, I propose an outbid hitlist.
I already do this, as I am spiteful and evil anyway. If someone outbids me, I look for loans they made that I can outbid them back by a hundredth of a percent. Just to be a pain :D

But perhaps this can be more fun if done as a group.
    Thoughts?

Anyone else having problems with "My Impact"?
    Comments, Loans not showing.
How am I expected to exact my petty, outbidding revenge like this?

perhaps you are not exacting sufficient outbidding revenge to make other lenders cry,......err, have a problem with your Impact!

Drowsiness, occasional vomiting, constipation, delusions of grandeur.

On a side note, my impact does not show, well, my impact. It shows normally down to the title RECENT COMMENTS ON MY LOANS but is then completely blank after that. This only happens on one account, the others are fine.

Well it's rather hard to exact sufficient revenge if I cannot find potential victims through my impact now, isn't it???
    :p

Kidding aside, I'm fine with being outbid however every time I've gone to lend and sorted by expiration date there are plenty of loans that don't have 100% funding so I've never attempted to outbid anyone.

I think we should encourage people to look at all loans they think are suitable yet unfunded before they start bidding on fully funded loans.

    I would strongly agree.

Also, I think Zidisha should probably cut a digit on the interest rate.
A hundredth of a percent on a one-year loan of a couple hundred dollars is essentially meaningless.
All it serves to do is allows some people to undercut (and potentially annoy) other lenders by the smallest of margins without offering the borrowers any actual discount.

I guess it is all relative, but how would you define a meaningful reduction in interest rates for outbidding?
Even 10 basis points seems paltry. Maybe 25 bips? 50?

Just trying to more clearly define targets for my campaign of harassment ;)
