I’ve written extensively about the battle going on between the “big three” US carriers (American, Delta, and United) and the “big three” Middle Eastern carriers (Emirates, Etihad, and Qatar) regarding the Open Skies agreement. This debate might seem insignificant to some, but it has the potential to change how liberalized international air service has become over the past few years, which is in consumers' best interests.
