Spanair web site is now offline (www.spanair.com)

So all the talk with Qatar did not went very well and the it seems that SAS share value in the company is now completely lost.

So if any of you have any bookings or code share travels with Spanair it might be a good idea to check it :)

Yea, I had a booking in june CPH-MAD-CPH. Luckily paid with a Mastercard so I should be able to retrieve the money.

Sucks though as I actually used Spanair quite a lot to Spain and Africa. I hope SAS will jump on the now available time slots between CPH and BCN/MAD.

According to a statement from SAS (Sture Stølen), slots will be available at MAD and BCN, but SAS has no intentions to take over these slots.

Interesting news - anyone have any idea about the cabin factor on those routes? I have used them on 10 segments in 2011 and they were all packed to the limit.

I have the same experience on CPH-BCN and CPH-MAD, which I have used for 10 segments, interestingly enough, as well in 2011.
Last time was actually just last Sunday when I did BCN-CPH. I'm glad they at least waited until I was home before they went belly up.

Always sad to see a company throw in the towel, especially sad for the 3k or so employees now having to struggle into the spanish jobsmarket.

In my company we last year did a 8 weeks exercise in optimazation in the work flow. To begin with we looked at the job situaion and for young people 50% is unemployed in the Barcelona area :-(
