Under United specials they state book by August 4th and prices start from $409 to HNL and $460 to OGG... I can not find one instance in which these prices exist (or are less than $750).

I stated my dates are flexible, kept changing the amount of days of my stay... and nothing.

Either I am doing something wrong or these specials are sold out?

Can someone help me find one instance of these prices? I was hoping to go in October, but can be flexible to pay half...

    Thanks...

Just for grins, I went to www.airfarewatchdog.com and checked on r/t ORD-HNL (travel October 2-9, 2014).

It showed Orbitz (US flight) for $679.60, Hotwire (DL) for $728.10, and Priceline (AS) was $776.59. I'm unsure whether these prices include added fees, taxes. Hope that this helps.

I was able to book SAN-HNL for $441. I wonder if UA sent out a generic "things on sale" e-mail instead of targeting select markets.

Strange. I know a bunch of people were looking but they all said that SAN was the cheapest they could find.

The fares quoted in the special are one way. When you go to search, they're presenting the prices as round trip.

So UA's version of the special is $409 x 2 and $460 x 2 for HNL and OGG.

Well, I guess that would be helpful if I were moving to Maui and didn't need a flight home.... Well played, United.
