Just wondering what other sites.., so you don't live in a JAR !
Well for hotel rooms I've used tripadvisor to research all of my Europe hotels and in two longish trips (12 days each) it has worked well. No problems with the hotels. Most were very nice. You just have to weed through some reviews since some people exaggerate in their criticisms. I'm always interested in location (how far from the train station), noise (is it located near a busy night spot), condition of hotel and staff.
I also will read through the forums at Rick Steves site. Some very knowledgeable people there.
I like Boardingarea.com and frugaltravelguy.com. Also regularly check deals on travelzoo
I liked the post above, but I'm biased.
I'm not biased, and I like Boardingarea.com also!
thepointsguy.com is my second site after frugaltravelguy.com
Tripadvisor and Boarding Area
