I can't like this enough. At the OWMD I spoke to the OW reps in DFW at the museum and they asked me why I flew with them etc etc. During the conversation I mentioned that a real point of annoyance for myself (and others I know) was no consistent baggage allowance over the alliance. The response was 'Yeah you're not the first to say that!'.
Great to see OW listening to its airlines customers, and working out a deal. This puts *A well behind IMHO. I never did get the 2 tier system, with airlines reserving F lounges and top tier benefits for their home airlines. This now cements me as a OW fanboy even more than I already was!
Next time can you tell him the alliance wide priority baggage is missing too
That was also mentioned, although CX and AA do a great job of priority tagging this QF OW Emerald's bags
CX shows no love for sapphire though
It that a Sapphire thing for CX then? As an Emerald I've always been priority tagged by CX.
The lack of 3 free bags for oneworld elites unlike star and skyteam is a shame.
OW website now updated with more detail, including a list of the airport where the fast track security is available:
Fast-track (selected airlines) at following selected airports.
AMM - RJ only
TXL - AB only
BOS - AA only
BNE - QF only
ORD - AA, IB and JL only
DFW - AA, BA and QF only
HEL - AY only
LAX - AA only
MAD - IB only
MEL - QF only
MIA - AA, LA only
DME - S7 only
JFK - AA, AB, AY, LA and RJ
LGA - AA only
SFO - AA only
ARN - AB, BA and AY only
SYD - LA and QF only
NRT - AA, BA, CX, AY, JL, QF and S7
Fairly useless to me in truth as I never check bags and seem to be able to get FastTrack most of the time with AA.
