    I booked a United award flight on Turkish Airlines for next May from Windhoek to Malta with a 5 day stopover in Istanbul. Given the current surprise visa issues for US citizens, should I expect United to allow a free change so that we just transit in Istanbul (no visa required) to Malta

    Hmm, the original post is from April 2014. If you planned your trip even last year (2016) the 'new' Visa rules were already in place for over 2 years......
