    I skimmed the article...did I miss speculation about a cause? Very sorry for the deceased and injured.

    Apparently they're still investigating, but nobody in the news seems to be too concerned with it.. maybe it's not sensational enough.

    Looks like the Green and Yellow lines were affected, but the Blue, Orange and Silver were bypassing the station. L'Enfant is busy, so it wouldn't be a stretch to say this was done on purpose to maximize the impact.

    The count remains at 1 dead, two critical and another 60-odd hospitalized.

    I read something this evening about arcing wires along the trackway being considered as one possibility.
