USA Today: Air marshals accused in Mich. assault

I love how the news portrays things - the headline implies (IMO) that it was, perhaps, an action conducted while on duty...but by the third paragraph, points out they were on their own time...

Even when they have been off duty, there is no way IMHO that air marshals should behave in this way. This shows character traits I wouldn't want to find in someone who is supposed to be employed and trained to protect people.

    Hey, that is my hometown!!!

The old saying of "Nothing good happens after midnight" applies here. The bigger news is, why is a hot dog vendor out at 2:15AM?

Because when I think of bustling nightlife, screw Vegas, New York or LA, you go to Grand Rapids, MI.

Me guesses a couple of FAMs were on a layover, got drunk, and decided to kick some ass. Because, it takes a real man to push a woman into a hot dog cart.

Aren't there special penalties for assaulting/killing a law enforcement officer? And if so, does the reverse also apply?

the actions if true are unconscionable and they should be relieved of duty ( with pay unfortunately, until found guilty ) while the matter is investigated. If found guilty they should be immediately dismissed and suffer the legal consequences of their actions.
