I hope AA doesn't follow this example to turn things around ;)

Safe travels if you're on the road or in the air this weekend!

Clearly that's at an airport halfway to Australia.

You probably just got out of the wrong side of bed today, so now everything is funky.

Maybe he shouldn't have gotten out of bed at all. Then they would read just fine.

What about this new ultra-modern FIDS that the new United is starting to roll out?

The grammar shows real care and professionalism.
Boarding passes often don't show gates either.

    at 4am... indeed.

Given that my first flight went mechanical, causing me to misconnect ... yeah, should've stayed in bed :)

Don't they frequently tell passengers to double-check the monitors as the gate numbers printed on the boarding passes could have changed? Now this... putting them into an end loop.

On another note (a thing I really don't like) -- when did they start showing advertisements for Hilton, Symantec, ... on those gate displays? I don't recall seeing that. It takes long enough to circle through the information I care about -- now they also sell my eye balls at the gate?

While we're on this subject...this is so dumb. If you're telling me to check the monitors* ANYWAY, why announce the gate information at all? Idiotic.

    *Or is that "monitor's"? Sheesh.

The monitors are the "definitive" source for gate information these days. Even the Easy Update alerts have stopped including any gate information.

For me, I see the UA App for iPhone being the most accurate.

Today the UA App for Android had some issues, showing me on the Upgrade Standby list, then not, and later it did again.

I'd really like for the UA App to also save / update flight status, like the CO App does, it's a real pain that that feature doesn't work. But of course the CO App can look it up, so for UA flights I need both Apps... :)
