You can get the most updated listing HERE.

    Dear Milepoint Members,
I am excited to provide you a heads-up on great new Hyatt Gold Passport benefits that we will begin offering in some hotels this month! We have listened to many of your comments regarding earning and redeeming Hyatt Gold Passport points in our restaurants and spas. Great news…this is becoming a reality!

Over the course of the next several months, we are rolling out the following earning and redemption opportunities:
    - Earning points on food & beverage and spa services while not a registered guest
    - Redeeming points for food & beverage and spa services while a registered or non- registered guest

So when can you start earning points for a business dinner at Park Hyatt Chicago’s Nomi restaurant or redeem for a spa treatment at the Grand Hyatt Bali’s Kriya Spa? Patience. Our pilot hotels will launch this month, and we will continue the rollout hotel-by-hotel globally through August 2012.

Visit hyatt.com/diningandspa which will be updated on an ongoing basis with participating hotels, so check back every few weeks to see if your favorite destinations have been added. When you have the opportunity to experience these benefits at one of our properties, please let us know what you think.

Once again, we appreciate your continued support of Hyatt Gold Passport.

    Safe travels,
    Jeff

This is great, Jeff, thanks! It's a wonderful feeling when leaders of loyalty programs respond directly, the way you do, to issues and suggestions raised by its most loyal and valued members.

As someone pointed out on another board, that URL redirects to

    http://hyatt.com/gp/en/offers/ponzi-promo.jsp

which may not be the best naming choice for this new, eh, scheme.

Ponzi promo? Someone has a sense of humor, it seems. Doubt that is what it's supposed to be named.

Ponzi Promo is pretty amusing for the naming convention. They value a point at 1/2cent at the low end and 3/4c on the higher end. Interesting valuation they put on this.

Thank you for all of the feedback.

Quick Update....The link Hyatt.com/diningandspa has had some issues that are being addressed, one of which is the "ponzi" naming convention. That one was a surprise! I guess we have a practical joker somewhere in our eCommerce group.

    TGIF!

    Good Day:
So we can redeem points for beverages but we cannot get point credits for them when we purchase?
I do not find the conversion from points to $ very attractive at all particularly when taking into account the generaly poor quality of food offered at most US Hyatt.
Even using the very high end Park Hyatt Vendome Pur' restaurant as a point of reference, one would be better off using money instead of points based on the Park Hyatt Vendome Nightly reedemable 22.000 points rate.

I hope so. It made me chuckle, which is a good thing on a Friday morning :)

As for the redemption values... it may not be what people here consider an excellent value, but that's true for a lot of offers in the loyalty space. Just pick and choose what works for you... and maybe it will change over time.

Terrific to have the possibility of earning while not residing, and to have the opportunity to use points for other things. Yes, they’re not always a good value, but to have them add this is a good thing.

Next up - being able to use a suite cert when staying on points?

That, I would like very much! Most of the time when I want to use the Suite upgrade is when I'm on holiday, staying on points.

That Hyatt benefit of points for eating if you are not staying at the hotel is rather misleading. I just had a $150 dinner at Mission Bay/San Diego Hyatt Red Marlin Restaurant Bar and Terrace. I had called in advance and asked if they participate, and was told "yes". When my meal was over the waiter didn't know what to do with my Diamond card, so he asked the manager. The restaurant manager said they didn't know what to do with my Diamond number so she called the front desk manager who told me to send it to Hyatt Gold Passport. A day later Hyatt Golf Passport tells me the hotel does NOT participate in this new program and they are "sorry" the restaurant and the front desk managers mislead me.

I just tried the link of what hotels supposedly participate and got a 404 error. I am not impressed.

Our apologies for the issues with the link.

If you actually type the url into your browser instead of using the link it should work. I'll also try to go back and edit the link so that it works as well. As of today, we have several hotels in beta, but we have not posted the names just yet.

We will be updating the page periodically, as properties come online. It will take about 7 months (hopefully sooner) before all properties are running globally.

    Safe travels,

    Jeff
