    Hello,

I recently stayed a night a Courtyard using the Cat 1-4 cert I received from my Marriott Visa. I know that I receive no points for the room itself, but I thought I would receive points for charges to the room, i.e. food, marketplace.

I see the stay in my MR account, but it shows 0 points earned for the stay.

Is this the case for a rewards stay or should I be contacting MR for the missing points?

Nope. That's why Residence Inns and C/Ys are of limited value b/c points only on room rates. I think SHS give on other charges, though.

Right. You don't get points for incidentals at the lower tier properties (Fairfields, Courtyards) even on a paid stay. I've always gotten points for incidentals whan I stay at full service properties (Marriotts and Renaissance) even on free stays.

Same experience. Full Service properties give you points for incidentals, lower tier no- regardless of paid or reward.
