.....? So some folks opined that when they travel in Y then don't care to be greeted....???
I think what happened is they complained about not being greeted and maybe people sitting around them complained about that
I never get greeted wherever I sit!
because they know who you are, traitor!
They only greet top tier elites on domestic flights
Only in Japan would such a press release come out. Crazy!
i've complained before...
family flew 3 of us didn't get a greeting...and I bet I was one of the very few Diamonds on the flight
That press release is bizarre......
It's exactly this type of DYKWIM attitude JAL is trying to describe in the announcement but in a nice way.
I wouldn't be surprised if you were instrumental in instigating this announcement.
I only complained because she greeted all other JGC that was japanese... only Ignoring us..
Seriously... EVERY TIME for me. The CAs greet my wife, who is JGC through me, and completely ignore me. It became a joke with us, we'd be like... wait for it, wait for it, ahhh
Maybe they only greet the head of family
I believe in gaijin power if you speak Japanese. You need to flaunt that you can speak Japanese by like randomly using it to prove you`re not some English only speaker than guaranteed you will get welcome greeting. I mean you know how complicated your surname is that i`d be scary off by trying to pronounce it as a Japanese let alone if i was Japanese (no offense but it is rather long and complicated compared to Tanaka!)
Same here, well every time we fly together in C at least, they completely ignore me. When we fly in Y I think the CA's have greeted me nearly every time.
Hmmm... I guess I'll never know about that. I'll be in Y this July / Aug for the first time since acquiring status.
