Niece of Ralph Lauren faces air rage charge after flight diverted to Shannon
Another DYKWIA or should I say wannabe...
Designer Ralph Lauren's niece flies in legal team from New York on air-rage charge
Jenny Lauren (41), niece of fashion icon Ralph Lauren, arrives at Killaloe Court, Co Clare
‘Can you say that in English please?’ - Ralph Lauren’s niece asked arresting guard to repeat herself
Jennifer Lauren in court in Clare charged with being drunk on flight diverted to Shannon
I hope they release more data on what actually happened during the air-rage incident.
This is probably a case of DYKWIA!!!
Probably? Only probably?
Some nice language too from her including:
So the total fine would be €2K + €30,208?
I wasn't there
209 pax. Three hour delay. I value my time at $250/hour. So they should add $750/pax, payable to the passengers. Nothing else would be fair.
Can the 208 fellow pax sue her individually in small claims court?
They must, individually & collectively!
People like who pull this crap should be thrown off the plane while it's still in the air. Yes, I know it's physically impossible to open the door in the air, but still.
There seems to be a lot of that going around, and even in the "F-list" circles.
Unfortunately, most of us get exposed to it too often.
I've been seeing more of it in G-FC on UA to/from LHR. I always have to ask my wife, "who IS that, who's causing the fuss?" I don't keep up on "personalities," and skied all day with Jill St. John at Aspen, never knowing who she was. My wife does better, than I, but never recognizes any of the miscreants either. I do not think that the FA's do, unless they read the pax manifest, and then confer with others. My feeling is that if they are really A-listers, they would be flying their own 739-ER's, and not commercial with me.
If what I have read about the incident is true - throw the book at her!
Hey, that's an idea that I can vote for.
I used to drive a narrow bridge, 2 small lanes in each direction, and about 4 miles long. There were always a few folk, who caused accidents through their aggressive and poor driving. I always thought that they should add "dump stations," and those people, and their autos, should be dumped, and quickly. Only about 900' to the river.
Here's another update surrounding this saga which could see more lawsuits in the future:
The niece of fashion designer Ralph Lauren returns to New York after a difficult few days here
It is a case of Kettle calling....
Did she say the magic sentence?
"DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?"
If, as she says, the name "Lauren" is an albatross around her neck, perhaps she should have gone back to the family name Lifshitz! Really, she's not even his daughter so someone else in the family must have decided it was not an albatross but rather a trophy. Be careful what you ask for!
One normal commuter plane had a back ramp that could be opened during flights, maybe a 727?
Yes. The db cooper escape ramp.
When DL first put flatbeds, the one route that got it was JFK/ATL-BOM. I recall an incident, not between a FA & Pax; but two pax. The first heavy set woman calling another similarly mass-distributed woman "Who you calling fat you b***" I presume the context was inability to get up from an awkward 1/2 inclined flatbed.
The Lauren woman suffered from similar self-delusion !
'I was not intoxicated, I did not push anyone'
Perhaps she was intoxicated when she plead guilty?
Hey at least she did not urinate in the aisle alla Gerard Depardieu! http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/25/opinion/wilson-drunk-passengers/index.html
As if Ireland didn't have enough problems with its own drunkards ...
