I'll be flying BusinessFirst on CO and wanted to hit the NH Lounge up in NRT while transiting in March...which lounge is the best? I assume we'll be allowed in the J Lounge versus the regular NH Lounge?

There are 2(J) NH lounges in NRT, one in Satellite 4 and one in Satellite 5!

Both lounges are more or less the same, with the exception of one lounge having windows (sat.4). Both F lounges have windows and I prefer SAT.5 lounge as it on a floor by itself!

The ANA Lounge in Sat. 4 does not have windows but is very modern and pleasant. In addition to a sake bar, they have a wonderful udon/soba bar where you can get some hot noodle soup. They also have a great set of showers. I'm sure it is probably the same in the other lounges but didn't get a chance to visit while transiting there last week.

Don't forget you can access the Red Carpet Club, too. Hah! Actually it's not terrible at NRT. And the NH lounges are fine though not really special. Grab some noodles in the NH lounge and some beer at the RCC and you're all good. [IMG]

I like the NH F lounge. Of the *A C lounges at NRT I rate NH best, then QF (used by NZ only since in the other terminal) then UA.

NH F lounge is kinda weird. Good shower amenities. But here's the thing. You walk in, someone gets you a drink and brings you some snacks. And that's basically the last service you ever get from them. Why don't they come by and continue to help? And for F I really feel like they could do escort to the plane (or for that matter, from checkin to lounge).

When I've been in NH F lounge at NRT, usually sitting in the business centre after having a shower, I've always gotten ongoing service. I'm usually in satellite 4 (flying SQ F or C) if that matters.

Hmm, weird, I've never gotten ongoing service. Will see how things go on Tuesday (flying SQ F ex-NRT).

Admittedly it has been a while since my last visit at that lounge, so may have changed.

Anyway, NRT has a wide range of good or great lounges and is one of the best airports for lounges no matter which one(s) you have access to.

To me it feels like the service is at the wrong time. Rather than having someone hover and push me to pick a seat fast, do the towel, and request a drink, I'd rather first look around to select the seat I want, put down my carry on to claim the territory, get some newspapers, look at the drink choices, and then be offered the service. I always feel like the lounge staff is pushing me, but I don't know why; they're usually just standing around looking for used dishes to remove.

I'm sitting in the Sat. 4 business lounge; just as a note for anyone who's curious, I was able to use my UA mobile boarding pass and 1K card to get in, no need for a paper boarding pass.
