So here's my situation... I currently have the following cards:
    - Chase United MileagePlus Explorer Visa (Feb 2012)
    - SPG Amex (Feb 2012)
    - Chase Sapphire Preferred (Mar 2012)

I want both the Hyatt card (2 free nights / 2 suite upgrades for platinums) and the BA 50k-100k bonus card during my next round of apps in June.

Should I go for the Hyatt card or the BA? Or do I have a chance at both?

FYI, in this next / first real app-or-rama, I plan on doing:
    - 2 X 50,000 AA Citi
    - 40,000 USAirways Barclays
    -50,000 Hilton HHonors Amex
    -25,000 Air Alaska BofA
    - either Hyatt or BA Chase

    Suggestions?

According to the bloggers (all of them) the BA offer is schedule to expire June 7th. So if you want the 100K, it might be the time to go for that.

The answer as to whether you can get both depends on your history with Chase, your credit score, your current credit limits, and your income. It's not unheard of to get two Chase cards in the same compressed timeframe, but the general advice is to try for one at a time.

The answer as to which one you should try for depends on your goals and interests. We can't say which would be the more valuable card without knowing what you want to do / where you want to go with them.

EDIT: Or just what Larry said.

I'd just go for the one you are in need more if you can only choose one.

Example:If you have a stash of miles and not too many hotel points then do the Hyatt card. If you have a trip planned soon and know there are Hyatt properties there then do the Hyatt card.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably go with the BA card. Air miles are simply more valuable to me. I like the 2 suite upgrades, but I feel like the BA offer is more rare than the Hyatt. Plus, no trips in the near future requiring a Hyatt. Thanks again.

From my experience, BA is a pain to deal with. I'm skipping them entirely, regardless of their offers. Perhaps you should do likewise. Regardless, good luck in your decision.

Well then don't get the Hyatt card now as you'll only have a year to use the free nights.
