Me and my husband are going to Japan in December to visit our son and his family, does anyone have a suggestion on which airline to use?

    Why?
Delta FF program is getting worse and more restrictive and the regular cost are as high as competitors.

I used to like Delta a lot....now it's I only like Delta more than BA which I completely dislike.

Asian airlines seem a bit better to fly depending on departure city.

What city will you depart from and arrive at?
Narita(Tokyo) is the most common hub in Japan but you might be going to another city like Osaka or Sapporro.

    I see you are from Georgia......and Delta has a non-stop Atlanta-Narita flight.

I believe ANA, AC and UA also depart from Atlanta for Tokyo. These all have stopovers which you might wish to utilize. AC for example you can get off and visit part of Canada. lol

Delta's long haul product is great, IMO. The OP said nothing about FF consideration. If the OP doesn't want to credit the miles to SM, she can do otherwise.

See! (Provided NRT is the destination.)

If non stop is important to you, Delta is the only game in town. If you DO fly Delta, see if you can credit your flights to another carrier (I'd probably go with Alaska) since Delta's FF program is probably one of the worst out there.
