    New Ways Airlines Avoid Turbulence

    Weather sensors, other gear give pilots a better picture of what's ahead

    This article describes the methods used by various airlines to help their pilots avoid turbulence while in the air, including the use of real-time weather information on Cockpit iPads, other new technologies provided to pilots, weather radar, and the use of special sensors. These new technologies appear to be helping airlines to be much better at handling weather-related events.

    I like turbulence. It puts me to sleep like a baby in the back seat of a car.
