I'm not sure if someone else may have this problem but I tried to change my current booking ATL-IAD-FRA-ZRH-PEK-SIN-DPS one way using CO miles last month and it was honored. But I am currently on the phone with new United agent/supervisor and they informed me that ticket is invalid b/c it is around the world ticket. Is this the new rules moving forward we cannot book this type of award for 70K miles one way?

Are you on with a legacy UA or legacy CO agent?

Remember that UA used to have stricter rules on award bookings, so this may be more unusual to a legacy UA agent than a legacy CO agent.

There is no such thing as a RTW one-way award. The agent is just wrong. Hang up and get a new one.

Tried to change my routing too on an existing reservation but according to the CSR the system won't allow it since it isn't the most direct routing.

It must have been United agent, how can I tell if it's legacy CO or UA agent?
