I just joined Sky Bonus, and took my first two flight segments a couple days ago. (only one shown in the screen cap below)

The posting in my account doesn't make much sense to me; is it because I'm still in the middle of the PNR, and segment points don't post until I finish the entire trip?

Also, what do the categories "coupon usage status", "reason code" and "award category" mean- this is a Delta revenue ticket, segments in L and T fare buckets.

When you say you joined sky priority, what do you mean? Are you a new delta elite? Or is there some there's sky priority program?

sorry, I meant Sky Bonus - I edited the OP, I'll try to get the title changed. Sky Bonus is a separate (parallel) program for small businesses, you can double dip. Flights can earn both SkyMiles and Sky Bonus points.

Ah yes, familiar with that program.

I don't have any first hand experience with the program, so not sure if what you're seeing is normal or unusual.

Shouldn't this thread be in the DL forum, not SkyTeam. I believe it's DL's FF program for (small) businesses.

My impression is that it is managed by DL but with active participation and recruitment by AF, KL and AZ, which seems to put it in a nether-world between DL and SkyTeam.

Does that mean that it's a program of the joint venture?

I'll try to provide some info that you might find helpful. My experience is that the "coupon usage status" changes from unused to used after you fly the segment and points are awarded. All my points have posted, but there is a lag - I'm not sure of the specific # of days it takes. Nothing has ever posted in my account under "reason code" so I'm at a loss there.

Nonhub leisure earns 6 points per $ on the prorated base fare. On the Sky Bonus website - under "About Sky Bonus - Earn Rewards," there is a chart of different earning levels. Hub to hub travel earns half the miles of nonhub to hub for both leisure and business categories. Leisure is the classification for coach classes of service M and below. Business is the classification for classes of service B and up. Below the chart are classifications of the AF, KL and AZ fares that would qualify for business level earnings.

So far, I've only flown nonhub leisure fares and earned 6 points per $.

Thanks, that's the type of info I was looking for. The points just posted, at the 6x rate, so a three to four day lag in posting; also the 40k bonus signup points from Sky Magazine (that you told me about in another thread) just posted at the same time. That gets my account off to a great start!!

Segments and points usually take a couple days to post. Much like the Skymiles program which now usually post one day after completion of the segment. I liked it when it posted once the flight departed.

It sometimes posted after the GA scanned your BP, so you could sit with your pre-departure drink, log on and see the points. :D

I just got an email offering 25,000 extra SkyBonus points if I fly through Oct 4, but the link goes to a dead page. Nice job Delta.

followed by another email a few hours later saying "whoopps, you don't get the bonus after all"

    reason?

We're in the process of enhancing the program for our customers

thanks Delta, being teased is a real enhancement

    Not that word again: "enhancement".
Whenever Delta says "enhancement" watch out; it always means a diminished benefit.

I have been in SkyBonus for some time. It works well with AF/KL as well as DL so i think it belongs here. I have not tried to redeem anything though...
