Delta has taken over the space formerly occupied by the United Club and opened a new Sky Club at Atlanta airport by gate D12. This is in addition to the (recently renovated) club by gate D27, which remains in operation -- Delta has no less than 10 clubs in virtually every section of the airport.

This will be of primary interest to passengers traveling on regional flights, although don't expect luxury - the space is definitely on the small side.

They opened that space on a Tuesday (last week). I was at the gate across the way on Monday. It was hilarious because the signage was up, but the doors were locked with no announcement for the opening date. People kept ringing the old United doorbell, and shaking their heads.

Gave the new D club a whirl during a delay today. It was really pretty nice. Almost no crowd despite bad weather and lots of delays. Only problem was a complete lack of bathrooms.

I can't be worse than the small clubs in the B terminal.
