I can't think of any off the top of my head but I do believe there are a few AA flights that operate only once weekly. From what I've read online (can't recall where, maybe FT?) this schedule matches with the package diving tours that are popular at RTB. In on Sat, stay a week, leave next Sat.

Ah gotchya, well that makes sense. I was just thinking, how many people go to places for exactly one week? Package deals!

My family lives near MYR, where many of the legacy carrier routes are only operated on weekends in order to cater to people on golf packages (e.g. UA ORD-MYR, US DCA-MYR, DL LGA-MYR).

Getting there from Japan is a challenge; the only same-day one-stop option is DL via ATL. The only other practical same-day option is to take UA or NH to ORD, IAD or EWR, then fly to MYR from there via CLT. (Or if you're a true masochist, you can do the midnight NH HND-LAX, then the US redeye LAX-CLT...)
