    Not sure if this has been posted, but new menu formats are coming to United Airlines. The menus now list city pairs and the wine list is now separate. Sorry for the lousy photos but enjoy :)

  2. Would have been useful had you posted what was actually ON the menu.

    Yes. I am very curious to see if food/presentation has changed, especially in Business.

    There are several questions that come to mind with this:
    1 - By putting the city pairs on the menu, are the items going to be different among the various SE Asia routes, or is this just fancy smoke;
    2 - Will this also be happening on all international routes, or only inter-Asia?
    3 - With all the cost-cutting that Smisek's into, what is the ROI on doing this?!

    Considering the current ROI on having F is probably near-zero due to most people being upgrades or employees, trying to improve the product so people will pay for it is not a bad approach.

    I got the new menu on NRT-BKK yesterday, but the old one on SFO-NRT. Given that the menu you posted was for SIN-HKG, perhaps they have the new ones only on Intra-Asia for now.

    My guess is this is just lipstick on a pig - no changes to the meals.

    Do you really think listing the city pairings on the menu is going to be the kicker that gets people to pay for F, or to choose UA over NH or SQ
    ?
    I also think there's a large number of folks who are in paid-for F seats. It may be the companies they work for that are paying, but I know a few folks who regularly travel in paid-for F.

    Yup.

    No, not at all! It would have to accompany actual service, product, food and wine improvements ;)

    Yes. Just not on United.
