New (I think) on the Centurion benefits page:

Save time and bypass arrival lines at most major U.S. airports when you return from international travel. Global Entry is a U.S. government program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved travelers. When you use your Centurion Card(R) to apply for Global Entry membership, we'll credit the application fee, and if approved, your membership will be valid for 5 years.

Great benefit. If you do not live in a city where applications are processed you may have to travel to one for an interview. Since I am doing just two or three international trips per year it hasn't been worth it. I do go to Chicago often however and now might apply. My wife is not centurion and I'd have to pay her fee.

I wonder if it's just a benefit for US based card only.....

From a post on FT where someone called AmEx it's automatic as of April 5th. It will just appear as a statement credit. I hope it shows up on the AmEx website tomorrow....

(My comments are related to having this benefit for Platinum cardholders.)

According to the Global Entry website, you also get "access to expedited entry benefits in other countries." What does this entail? Which other countries participate?

It has been on the Amex website for days (at least for Centurion). I got confirmation from a CSR that it doesn't start until 4/5. However, since I signed up over the weekend (by directly clicking from the Amex Cent site), I will be getting my credit. I'm sure they don't want to deal with the Florida Attorney General on this, so I'm quite confident about that (I have screen shots that I e-mailed to the CSR prior to 4/5).

Yeah... I kinda jumped the gun as well as I applied this weekend. If they don't credit me then I figured I need to apply for my wife anyways (she is not an additional cardmember) so I would probably get the statement credit with that.

While US, Mexico, and Netherlands citizens can be in Global Entry for fast USA entry, it appears that only the Netherlands (through their Privium program) allows Global Entry members fast entry. Privium, however, costs money -- but interestingly has a dedicated lounge and some other benefits. More info here:
    http://www.schiphol.nl/Travellers/AtSchiphol/PriviumIrisscan.htm

What's also interesting, as I was browsing these pages, is that both NEXUS (US/Canada) and SENTRI (US/Mexico) members can now use global entry kiosks for no additional fee. NEXUS is only $50 and SENTRI is $122.25. I gave up looking at poorly designed US Government websites, but I'm sure those are yearly fees or something....

Is this reciprocal? If I get GE, can I be expedited at YYZ?

I got my application (filled out on 4/1) approved today. I was able to schedule an interview for as soon as this week. However, Mrs. Aviators99 applied on 4/5, and I want to get have the interviews for the same time, so I set up the interview for next Friday, in the hopes that she will be approved by then too.

As far as I can tell it is not reciprocal. At least when you have NEXUS or SENTRI they have specific instructions on how to also be approved for global entry -- I see no instructions on the reverse. That's too bad as I'd love to have NEXUS.

Can you use this GE reimbursement to pay for non-cardholder GE applications?

I would think so... as long as it posts to your card exactly same I would think they would pick up on the trusted traveler bill (regardless of who it was for) and credit it. I would do it knowing there's still a chance you'd have to pay for it.

Here's how it posted to my account. The only thing I obscured were numbers.

Maybe they assume - not necessarily correctly - that if you're not US-based, you don't have a US passport.

I used the Global Entry kiosk for the first time last month and it's fantastic. There was a very long line for passport control but I was done at the kiosk in seconds. DL's priority bag tag actually worked and I was already out the door while most of the people on my flight were still waiting to get their passports stamped.

It works! I applied on Wednesday, and the credit posted Friday. My wife applied Thursday with her Plat and credit came through Saturday.

As a follow-up, my wife and I each received conditional approval on Friday the 15th, 8 and 9 days after we applied. The first available date for interviews at SFO was May 3, almost 3 weeks later.

I've used Global Entry several times now, all with very good results. The latest was arriving at JFK in SQ and noticing that I was the only one on the flight with Global Entry. With FC tagged bags, I was through customs before anyone else even arrived at the bag claim belt. When I walked up to the Global Entry exit signs, people looked as if to ask who this VIP could be. Not only did I save time for lounge use, but if was fun!
