New Midscale Hotel Brand From Hilton
talk about diversification. They're trying to be Marriott with a gazillion brands now
agreed, this is a head-scratcher - - doesn't HGI fill this space, already?
I dont think any Hampton Inn I have stayed at would be considered “upper midscale”. I wonder what this new brand will be comparable to...
....maybe the new brand will go against Holiday Inn Express?
I guess its all subjective and depends on the condition and age of the properties. I would rate many Holiday Inn Express properties better than Hampton and Fairfield Inns.
Hilton is looking for a new brand, I 'm looking forward to hear from them what they mean by that and what a new brand can offer Hilton guests in the future.
Having said this, Mr. Nassetta is looking for a brand which is actually cheaper per night than existing Hampton properties: [We will have to wait and see which kinds of properties can offer this and how this correlates against the competition in the "budget" market or as marketers like to call it the "value-conscious market"]
I look forward to the opportunity to stay at a Curio hotel. I'd like to try the Curio Hamburg Reichshof.
Tried my first Hampton in the UK and I'll take this hotel instead of any HIX I have stayed at.
