I don't really like the font. Otherwise, wh'ev.
I'm kind of partial to their old livery. I like the color scheme better. This color scheme looks like they took some of the primary colors out of a crayon box to put on the plane.
Meh. It is an airplane. That is all.
The color scheme on the fuselage and engines is much cleaner and easier on the eyes. Their signature color combo is relegated to the tail and winglets, which is IMO a very imaginative and tasteful way to maintain brand continuity. If this livery is adopted, it would be a vast improvement over the current one.
It makes their brand more visible.
While those in our FF circles immediately recognize their somewhat garish signature color combination, the vast majority of the domestic public do not. Having their name displayed so conspicuously makes sense.
FWIW, I've thought that Southwest's "state" and "SeaWorld" painted airplanes were pretty distinctive, and are head-turners, especially when you see them for the first time. I've seen a number of them at BWI :
The Sea World livery is done; they are bailing on that partnership due to PR backlash over the orcas.
I like special liveries in general; doesn't really matter what they are about.
What's with the downward winglet? I don't recall seeing one of those before.
Split Scimitar Winglet. All the cool kids have 'em these days.
Increased fuel efficiency.
