If you look closely at the picture of the card, you can see that they got the spelling right.

I know just the card image because that's what the actual card will look like. It will be really bad if they get the image wrong too :p

And they fixed it! I emailed them after I posted this thread and it's fixed before I wake up :)

It's good for all those people that cannot get credit cards. Knowing how hard this is I image a lot of gaijins might take it up. For Japanese, not sure why you would choose this over a credit card. Maybe those people who are freaked out by the idea of having more money than they have to spend.

Or it's good for those who maxed out their credit limit on their JALCARDs  Sounds familiar?

From what I have read, though, the credit check for JAL Cards is one of the easiest to pass in Japan already. My first credit card here was a JAL JCB / Suica card.

It still mystifies me that JAL would want to tie up with Resona ! Wonder why they didn't go with the large regional players like FGG? But then again it is always about Tokyo....as the rest of the nation does not exist !;)

Saitama never crossed my mind, neither did Chiba or any of the other sprawling bedtowns! One wonders if ETIC didn't force JL to team up with Resona. Both have received huge injections of public money.
