I got mine too. Do these also work for CO cards, or are there other stickers for that?

UA Insider stated on FT that we'd get another set for the CO cards. I would guess they look the same, but so far I have only received UA's. They don't seem to have holograms, though. Just shiny golden stickers.

Thanks. And yeah, no hologram. Just shiny gold with little airplane imprints.

LOL. That would be creative! They should let you in just for creativity...

I too just got my gold status extension stickers, affixed to a letter that says: "[W]hether you choose to carry a card or not, all your information has been updated in our system so you can continue to receive benefits, including:
    • Premier access as you travel
    • Star Alliance Gold member access to international lounges
    • Bonus award miles on flights, according to your 2011 status
    • And more..."
[emphasis mine and offered without commentary]

I'm glad these things are finally coming together, really not so bad since we only have Feb as the month we need to be concerned with the stickers. However looking forward to getting my real 1K card, hopefully end ofFeb I'd guess.

I really hope the new cards come before March 1, as we leave for a long trip March 5, and don't feel like trying to bully/wheedle/explain overseas...

I don't know any other way to navigate overseas travel other than bully/wheedle/explain... Zurich ground staff are masters at not being familiar with *A policies and the UA ground staff are clueless, too.

My wife is mailing me my stickers here in ZRH. Will report back when trying to use them for the first time Feb 18.

OK, I'll offer just one comment: I doubt that an entry in UA/CO's system
is going to help much with international lounge access.

Got my CO stickers today, guessing my UA ones will follow soon, or just use the extra one on my UA card.

Very exciting letter would have been nice for a few drink vouchers, oh well :)

Why do you think did CO's computer system not have my or my wife's UA *A status on recent reservations that had a CO segment? ;)

If they can't even get those two systems hooked up properly, I have little hope that there's much of a guarantee with the other *A members.

Do you know why it is important to sign into your FF account to make a reservation? Because it allows something called a PNR to be quickly and fully populated with all the information about you and your itinerary to enable you to travel seamlessly across carriers, around the world. Computer programmers will be familiar with something called a structure. A populated PNR is like a C structure that can be pulled out of or pushed into a computer reservation system (CRS) or global distribution system (GDS) by a "handle" or *pointer: the record locator (like a URL). That is the alphanumeric number that we call the reservation number. It is accessible from travel agencies, alliance computers, etc, anywhere around the world. Computers being computers, there may at times be glitches, but just think about how many itineraries these CRSes or GDSes handle correctly each second of each minute of each hour of each day and one would not make light of it.
