    BOSTON , Dec. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- JetBlue Airways today is pleased to announce plans to further expand its growing Boston network with the addition of non-stop service to Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas (DFW) beginning May 1, 2012 . "Big D" will be the airline's 71st destination and the largest metropolitan area in America not yet enjoying JetBlue's brand of low fares and great service.

    3x daily service.

    Interesting move considering that AA and B6 had been building up a relationship to this point. This seems to go against that, though I can certainly understand why JetBlue would do it at this point.

    I thought there were rumors that AA was going to let B6 have the dfw to jfk route and then do it as a codeshare. B6 labor costs are cheaper than AA. The BOS route may have something to counter Spirit.

    The Spirit Airlines flight DFW-BOS direct is a pseudo red eye as there flight is leaving at 1am and getting in at 5:40.

    B6 will be operating out of Terminal E.
