AS just announced new service from Seattle to MSY, TPA, and DTW.

First two in June and DTW in Sept.

    Double RDM across the board.

Very nice - less and less reason to fly DL at all.

Our newest destinations have a little bit of everything for today's domestic explorer. Craving sun? Beginning this June, please welcome service to Tampa, Florida. Or head on over to the Big Easy, New Orleans. From beignets to Creole, gators to Jazz and the granddaddy of all parades – explore cultural wanderlust in the Crescent City.

Finally, rev up for the ultimate in urban Americana – from Motown to the height of the auto industry, and roll on out to Detroit, Michigan, beginning in September. There's no way we could do all this without topping it off with Double Miles and intro fares.

    Way to go AS!!

Considering AS is a codeshare partner with AA, this is good news. :)

Yeah missed the DEQM note at first. Awesome - almost 8k EQM per trip!

If they're offering DEQMs for TPA-SEA I might have to book a ticket to push me over for MVPG Requal.

Not yet. Just DTW for DEQM so far.

That does suck as TPA-SEA comes in at 2,520 miles so the DEQM would easily get 10k EQM on one trip.

If DL matches the new AS service to TPA, you'll see DEQMs quickly.

I don't think DL would start SEA-TPA since there's more lucrative routes to fly like SEA-MCO and SEA-FLL.

But DL did just announce DEQM for all nonstop flights out of Seattle.

    Quite the attack against AS.

Except double anything on Delta is still worth less than single miles on AS.

Now if AS decided to offer DEQM on the TPA-SEA flight I'd book quite a few. ;)
