A new Android Milepoint app was released Feb. 9th. Vast improvement over the old, buggy, non-secure app. So far the play store is only showing less than 50 downloads, so it clearly hasn't been "stress-tested in the field" yet. It's v. 3.12.0, requires Android 4.0 or higher.

We can use this thread for feedback and suggestions.

I'm starting this thread so people will spot it, since if there was any announcement, I missed it.

Announcement is to come tomorrow for both iOS and Android I read. So you did not miss an announce... it did not get announced yet as they are waiting for both platforms to be available

One question already- I get a beep notification for everything that is set for notifications. It isn't clear if there is a way to keep getting notifications but turn off the sound, or if I have to turn off the notifications completely to stop the beep.

On Android at least there isn't a way. Yes - it's not the most optimal.

Do the notification settings on the Android app effect my alert or watched settings on the desktop program, or are they independent?

It's still not updating in Apple's App Store, but I'll post here when it does as well as announce it via OnPoint and a notice on the forum.

They're both not very different from tapatalk - just a bit less because it's only the one forum.

Both apps (Android/iOS) now in their respective app stores. The iOS app is technically an update to the old one, so you should be able to update it if you still have it installed. For Android, delete the old and install the new.

I included a banner on the mobile site with a link to make things easier.
