PLUS_1 and I got two for our house about a month ago now. I have to say I'm impressed with these smart thermostats. I really love being away and being able to manipulate the temperature at home (via ipad/iphone app). It saves on energy and I can get the house cooled down before we get home during the Georgia summer days.

They carry them at Lowes as well as online.

Is Nest the model name or the brand of the thermostat?

Sort of both. It's known as the Nest Learning Thermometer. They don't have but one kind/model

I bought two for my house, too. I have used them for a few months and really like them. It's very nice to be able to control the temperature from your iphone. You can also set it to Away mode for a few hours from the restaurant or wherever. There is also a motion detection mode so that it can realize you've left for work after a few hours.

I fiddle a lot with my Nest. I live in FL so it gets warm quickly but also some rooms get too cold if the A/C runs too long. So, I like being able to switch it on/off from the couch with my iPhone without having to trudge upstairs etc.
