    Hi All,

Am wondering if you can share destination ideas based on best/nicest *A lounges. I'm a BMI *G so can access UA lounges even though on domestic steerage fares. I already have booked 2 trips to SFO due to recommendations of other MR'ers. I figure if I can going to fly with the sheeple, at least I can have a nice experience on the ground between flights.

    Thanks
    Dennis

Leave the USA (they pretty much all suck). And avoid LH lounges in Germany (OK, but not great). AC lounges in Canada are pretty nice as are NZ lounges. The SQ lounge in SFO is overrated IMO.

I actually like the senator/business lounges in MUC, but I agree state side lounges are not as good as int'l ones.

    My thoughts...
For *G, I agree with you about liking the LH senator lounges- IAD, and FRA's C16 and the A Tower Lounge are great examples. HKG's TG lounge and NRT's NH lounges are very good. SIN's SKL also good, but think you must be flying in biz. If in F, TG's first class spa is great. LH's FCT also good, but a bit of a hassle if connecting in.

That's true (and it can be on any *A airline, not just SQ) -- but the lounge is quite nice, IMO. All they need is champagne (unless they had it hidden away somewhere when I was there last...)

  6. Most US based lounges are fairly poor especially compared to ones in Europe, but I've always enjoyed the CO lounge in Terminal B at EWR.

There is no CO lounge in EWR B.

Probably meant terminal A at EWR.

I've visitited the following *A lounges in the U.S. - LH at IAD and SQ at SFO.

The Swiss Lounge at JFK is landside, FWIW.

When the bar's not open, champagne is available on request at the SIN SKL.

My favorite *G lounge is the TG lounge at HKG.
Decent food and drink and plenty of space to relax.

I'm in IAD in march on UA econ, can I still pop my head into LH Sen? I was under assumption (but havent comfirmed with staralliance.com lounge finder) that I couldnt use Sen unless on biz.

Never mind, brain fart. Checked SA.com, confirmed the lounges in B for IAD.

  13. I like the BMI lounge at:LHR. I like that home feeling design. The shower rooms are large enough for two people :)
For UA folks, its so far from the gate its almost another airport.

My all time favorite was the Ansett Lounge at SYD, but its long gone.

Overall, I like LH even in DE cause the food is almost always localized.

The *A lounge in T1 in LHR is nice, on offer is pretty much a full Indian meal. ANA lounges at Narita have a pretty good food selection as well.

Champagne was out for self serve in the SIN T3 SKL until about 6 or 8 monhts ago. Now it's only on request. They deliver in a big glass too. last time i kept asking for 2 at a time, but my mom kept taking one from me.
