Hey everyone - I'm flying on a class K flight in June and need 2 GPU's.

Looking for donations, or wil trade for $ via paypal.

I also have 60k miles and a couple e-certificate vouchers if anyone wants to trade.

I was previously 1k in '13 and did not know my GPU's expired so I lost them :( I just wrote a letter to UA asking them to reconsider since I never used them ann didn't know they expired.

    Thanks
    Rick

You won't be able to upgrade anything with GPUs for International Travel since you will need W class at a minimum for GPU usage.

Your best bet at the moment is to use the Miles & Cash Co-Pay option though I find that to be poor value in terms of utility.

You're right...I mis-read the UA site...bummer. The flight is to Europe and they don't offer it with my code, lame!

I believe is 20k miles plus $500 co-pay which seems overpriced.

Does anyone know if I can use e-certificates for the co-pay? I have about $350 in e-certificates.

The alternative is if you already had the GPUs and up-fared from K to W and confirmed the GPU at the time of change for them to waive the change fee.

It is at times like these that the E+ option with a good Y seat seem priceless...;)

I'm surprised that nobody has yet advised the OP that even if flying on a W class ticket, being a new member and coming to a forum asking someone to risk their entire account to make a trade for a few bucks is less likely to happen than winning the lottery. UA (and every airline with a FF program I'm aware of) has very strict policies against such trades, which can result in having your account closed, balance wiped clean and never reopened.

This kind of post has appeared here many times in the past, and someone has always been quick to point this out. Not trying to be mean, just state the facts. If you want to sit up front, best just pay up.
